Canada’s Justin Kripps and Alex Kopacz have won the gold medal in two-man bobsleigh at the Pyeongchang Olympics — a title they’ll share with a pair of German sliders.
Kripps and Kopacz’s total time of 3:16.86 over four runs was exactly the same as that of Francesco Friedrich and Thorsten Margis. Latvia’s Oskars Melbardis and Janis Strenga took the bronze medal in 3:16.91.
It’s the first Olympic medal for both Kripps and Kopacz. Kripps finished sixth in two-man with Bryan Barnett at Sochi 2014 and piloted Jesse Lumsden to the silver medal at the 2017 world championships.
More to come.
